Garmin All Stars – fēnix 8 Iron Grit
· v2026.3.23
About
For the Garmin All Stars fēnix 8 watch face, we selected the Iron Grit default watch face. The outdoor DNA is apparent in the data-rich layout and contrasting accent color. The watch face is characterized by the segmented progress bar up top, a day-date display down under, a segmented second ring just below the clock, and multiple data fields to the sides.
In the All Stars version, we added a top-and-bottom layout that resembles a dashboard and adds more depth to the watch face. For each layout, you can switch to an analog clock for a more mechanical look, thereby freeing up spaces for more data. You can customize the watch face further with 20 fonts + 20 hand styles to choose from, making the watch face, and your watch, uniquely yours.
Garmin All Stars
In the Garmin All Stars series, we remastered the default watch faces built in to our watches. The All Stars series brings the original experience to your new watch, with added customizations to make it uniquely yours.
⭐️Differences in Watch Face Displays⭐️
•AMOLED Displays
Images are more vibrant with higher contrast. Brightness increases under strong light, which may slightly increase battery consumption.
•MIP Screen (Including Solar Models)
Utilizes ambient light to display content. The brighter the environment, the clearer the screen, making it ideal for outdoor use. The actual display effect may differ from the preview images as the colors are softer, and some models have a smaller color palette.
•Always-On Display (AOD)
Only available on AMOLED models. Can be configured in Display settings.
•Performance Tips
Complex animations or displaying more data can slightly increase battery consumption. Some older models may experience a brief rendering delay when switching between screens.

⭐️Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) ⭐️
Q: The watch face didn't update after I changed the settings?
A: Please return to Garmin Connect and perform a sync. If it still doesn't update, try reapplying the watch face on your watch.
Q: I can't find the watch face after installing it?
A: On some models, downloaded watch faces do not activate automatically. Open the Watch Face menu on your device and select it manually. If it still doesn't appear, please sync with Garmin Connect first.
Q: It seems to consume more battery after installation?
A: This watch face is optimized for performance and will not significantly drain the battery under normal use. If you experience abnormal battery drain, please update your watch firmware. Some older versions with third-party watch faces had battery issues, which has been fixed by Garmin.
Q: Why did the watch face fail to download or crash suddenly?
A: Don't worry! This is usually caused by one of these common issues:
Conflicting settings: After a watch face update, old settings may temporarily conflict with new features.
Corrupted temporary files: A minor error occurred during the transfer of the configuration files.
Insufficient memory: The watch temporarily ran out of space to run the new watch face.
Q: Why isn't the data I want in the available data list?
A: Due to Garmin's product tiering and hardware limitations (e.g., floors climbed or elevation requires a built-in barometer), some advanced metrics are exclusive to specific high-end or specialized models. Because of this, access to certain data is not supported by ConnectIQ watch faces.
