Birds Around Me

Get a list of possible bird species around your location, with details about their English (selectable) common name, scientific name, last observed date, count, and location. You can see the list of bird species from observations within 30 days and within 50km radius (configurable) of your location. This App uses eBird's free API. === NOTE for Vivoactive 4/4s (FW 4.0/4.4/4.5) === There is a firmware bug for 4.0/4.4/4.5 that onNextPage() and onPreviousPage() gesture won't work for widgets on vivoactive 4/4s. That means scrolling up and down to view next/previous pages or bird details are NOT possible. Garmin has fixed that issue on FW4.6 so please upgrade your vivoactive 4/4s to FW4.6 to be able to use this widget correctly. All the supported devices of this app is tested on simulator only (except for Fenix 6 pro and vivoactive 4s) and it works fine on simulator. However it does not mean it can run on real devices. === Reasons and use cases === For me I've been using GoBird and eBird app in the field with great success. However it makes sense to just have a text list of possible bird species around me on my watch where I can glance over during an activity (for example, kayaking, cycling etc) when I encounter a bird which I can't recognize at first place. This app is created in the hope that I can be aware of any new possible bird species observed recently around me, be it during my usual commuting route or during my kayaking session. ====== This project is entirely free and open.
