Tabata & HIIT Timer: Interval Workouts
· v1
About
Interval workouts from your wrist. Pick Tabata, your own work/rest intervals, EMOM, AMRAP or a built-in bodyweight circuit, press START, and the watch runs the session: big countdown, a buzz on every change, a 3-2-1 before each work interval, and the exercise name on screen so you never wonder what comes next.
One purchase. Everything is on the watch: no phone app, no account, no subscription.
WHAT YOU GET
- Tabata (20/10 x 8 out of the box), Custom intervals (work, rest, rounds, sets, rest between sets), EMOM and AMRAP with a round counter on START.
- Five bodyweight circuits: Beginner 10, Full Body 20, Core 10, Legs 12 and a Burpee Ladder. Each interval shows the move in big text and the next one underneath.
- Edit every preset on the watch (or from the Connect IQ app on your phone). Optional warm-up and cool-down, off by default: nothing is forced on you.
- Saved to Garmin Connect as a HIIT activity with one lap per interval, live heart rate in your zone colour, calories, and rounds / work time / rest time as extra fields.
- Vibration off, gentle or strong; optional tone; optional half-way tick; screen stays on during work.
- Touch is ignored during a workout so sweaty hands cannot skip an interval. Buttons only.
- This week's totals and a day streak on the title screen.
CONTROLS UP/DOWN: choose a preset. START: begin; during a workout START skips to the next interval (in AMRAP it counts a round). BACK: pause menu with resume, skip, end and save, discard. MENU (or touch and hold): settings.
GOOD TO KNOW Timing runs off the watch clock, so a notification or a dimmed screen never drifts the intervals. Heart rate and calories come from the watch's own sensor and profile; on watches without a HIIT activity type the workout is saved as Cardio Training.
