Unwatch
· v1.2.5
About
Your wrist, without the clock.
What if your watch told you everything except the time?
Unwatch is a watch face built on one idea: the exact time matters far less than you think. Instead of hours and minutes, your wrist shows the things that actually shape your day.
What you'll see:
- Sunrise, sunset, dawn, and dusk countdowns — calculated from your coordinates, accurate to the minute
- Heart rate and stress level
- SpO2 (blood oxygen) and temperature
- Body battery arc and device battery arc with Bluetooth status
- Date displayed as weekday, day, and month around the perimeter
- Secondary timezone shown as a wake/sleep indicator (sun, moon, sunrise, sunset symbols)
- Notification count when someone's trying to reach you
- Large sun event symbol when sunrise or sunset is approaching
Context-driven centre display:
The centre of the watch face changes based on what matters right now. An upcoming calendar event, elevated stress, high heart rate, an approaching sun event, or unread notifications — whichever is most important gets the spotlight. When nothing demands attention, the centre stays clean and empty.
Fully customisable via Garmin Connect:
Toggle every data point on or off individually. Set your location for sun calculations. Choose a secondary timezone (Sydney, Stockholm, London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, UTC, or none). Configure stress and heart rate alert thresholds. Set how far in advance calendar countdowns appear.
Visual design:
Custom vector font rendered along the watch perimeter — no stock fonts, every character drawn from scratch. Subtle tick marks give an analog feel without revealing the time. High-contrast colours on pure black for readability. Do-not-disturb mode dims everything to near-invisible.
Companion sun visualisation:
Explore the full sun cycle for any location at tamm.in/g/unwatch — an interactive tool showing dawn, sunrise, solar noon, sunset, and dusk throughout the day, with a live sky renderer.
Built for the Vivoactive 4S and Vivoactive 5.
What's new
What's New (v1.2.5)
- Fixed the calendar event countdown: it wasn't showing up because the background update crashed while reading your calendar feed. Now it fetches and displays correctly.
