Zoobin – Waypoint Compass with Audio & Vibe
· v1.1.1
About
Zoobin is a fully on-watch waypoint compass with sound and haptic feedback.
Navigate to up to 5 waypoints.
• No maps.
• No phone.
• No internet.
• No accounts.
• Everything runs on the watch.
Just point and go.
Perfect for geocaching, orienteering, hunting, hiking, and the outdoors.
Enter up to five waypoints by pasting coordinates from Google Maps or anywhere else.
Zoobin displays a smooth heading-up compass with each waypoint shown as a coloured marker around the rim.
Marker size and brightness indicate how near or far each point is, and a bold "+" appears when you arrive.
A centre list shows the distance to every waypoint, with your tracked waypoint first, followed by the nearest remaining points.
Supports both metric and imperial units.
Choose one waypoint to track and receive optional audio guidance:
• Distance mode — pitch rises and beeps speed up as you get closer.
• Bearing mode — pitch rises and beeps speed up as your heading aligns with the waypoint.
Optional haptic feedback provides a tap when your heading lines up with a waypoint.
Optional auto-advance lets Zoobin automatically switch to the next waypoint when you arrive, guiding you hands-free from point to point. Uses your "Arrived distance" setting.
Controls (on the watch):
• START / tap — cycle sound mode (Silent → Distance → Bearing)
• UP / DOWN — select the tracked waypoint
(none is selected initially)
• Long-press the middle-left button — vibration on/off
(vibration setting in your watch overrides this)
• BACK — exit
Setup (one-time):
1. Install Zoobin and sync your watch.
2. Open Garmin Connect → Connect IQ Apps (or Activities & Apps) → Zoobin → Settings.
3. Enter coordinates for each waypoint and optionally assign a name and colour.
Accepted coordinate formats:
57.682524, 12.041440
57.682524 12.041440
(57.682524, 12.041440)
4. Choose metric or imperial units and select a default tracked waypoint.
5. Save and open Zoobin on your watch.
Your waypoints will appear around the compass rim.
Tip: Waypoints are configured in Garmin Connect, not on the watch.
