The thresholds follow the activity you pick — general, running, cycling, hiking, skiing — because 28 km/h of wind does not mean the same thing to a cyclist and to someone walking. With nothing to report the page still sums the three hours up, and either way it describes the weather rather than telling you what to do. - Automatic background refresh every 1, 3 or 6 hours (or never), set from Garmin Connect or straight from the watch. - Battery-conscious by design: a good position fix is reused rather than reacquired, GPS only switches on when actually needed, and the background refresh backs off on its own with a low battery or no connection. - Your watch's own units (degrees, km/h or mph, mm or inches) and an interface in English or Italian, day names and wind directions included. - Compatible with 19 Garmin models: Fenix 8 and Fenix 7, Enduro 3, Epix Pro, Forerunner, Venu 3, Approach and Descent Mk3, on both AMOLED and MIP displays. --Setup and use-- 1. Install the app: on first launch it already works with Open-Meteo — no key, no account. 2. (Optional) Switch to MeteoBlue: sign up for a free API key on MeteoBlue's site, then open Garmin Connect → the app → Settings → Weather source → MeteoBlue and paste the key into the API key field. 3. Use the watch's menu (press MENU from any page) for Refresh now, New position (useful if the forecast seems to be for the wrong place), Activity, Weather source, Update every and About. 4. Page through the six screens with the up/down buttons, or a swipe on models without dedicated buttons: the system's own dots along the side always show where you are. 5. If the forecast will not refresh: check your connection (a phone over Bluetooth, or LTE/Wi-Fi on models that support it) and, if you use MeteoBlue, that the API key is correct — the app reports either problem at the foot of the screen.
