About

Ether is the new version of the Alti Pro, made specially for newer devices like Fenix7 and 8. It is a precise and robust altimeter. It uses the raw barometric sensor to measure altitude and vertical speed (variometer). This provides very responsive and accurate data. This app could be used for several sports, like hiking, skiing, paragliding, gliding, hot balloon and flying aircrafts. Alti Pro provides altitudes, vertical speed, and g-force. Swoop and warning alarms are available. To save the battery, the GPS will be switched on only if the user decides to record the activities. Recording the activities offers the ability to review the positions/track, altitude, ground and vertical speeds, and g-force later with the Garmin Connect application. To exit the app, press quickly 3 times on the back/exit button. To enter the menu, do a long press on the menu button. You will require a activation code from the developer. After your payment of 25€ or 25$ to the Paypal account [email protected], send an email with the 3 digits code shown on the initiation screen. A code and the manual will then be sent to you. Your email must not have any attachment, just text. If an attachment is sent, the email security software will reject it and I will not see it. NOTE: At start, the App will acquire a GPS location. This location will be referred as the start location. So, you need to be outside when starting the App. WARNING: please check the soft before buying, some Fenix 8 users have reported some bugs. WARNING: The app could be used only as an in-flight aid and should not be used as a primary information source. If the app contains a barometric altimeter, it will not function in a pressurized aircraft and should not be used in a pressurized aircraft. Always defer to certified instrumentation during operation. This App cannot be used and will not work for extreme sport like speed flying, skydiving, and basejumping.

If not, the starting position will be the true north and lead to problem when using the homing functionality. 1.5 - change the initialisation process. The app will not wait the GPS to find the reference point (dz). This fasten the process, but users needs to make sure a reference points is loaded before using the GPS. If no reference point is loaded, the app will consider the north as the reference point. 1.4 - solved a bug associated to the flashlight warning. 1.3 - added one alarm altitude i.e. breakoff altitude - fine tune the screen layout 1.2 -corrected bug with the altitude graph stopping at 1000ft 1.1 - corrected bug with flashlight not stopping after an alarm - improved user interface: avoid switching on the gps by touching the screen, now only the select button switches on the gps (or in menu) - low power mode added: low power = gforce and pulse/oxy are inactive to save power
