About

Rings is a data-rich watch face featuring three customizable rings that display your health, fitness, and activity metrics in real time. Drawing inspiration from the classic "Rings" design, this version offers significantly expanded functionality with multiple data profiles to choose from. Important Setup Note: Please be aware that the watch face relies on periodic data collection cycles. Heart Rate, Stress, and Active Heart Rate rings will not display or update until at least one complete 20-minute data collection cycle has occurred. On initial install, it may take up to 20 minutes for the first processing window to run and populate data. Once this cycle completes, these rings will appear automatically and continue updating every 20 minutes thereafter. Other profiles like Steps, Calories, and Battery will display immediately. Ring Profiles: Each of the three main rings can display one of six different data types: Heart Rate Zones (Updates every 20 minutes) – Analyzes your heart rate data and classifies which HR zone you're in, based on the age you set in the watch's settings. Max HR is calculated using the classic formula (220 - Age). The ring updates with segmented areas as data is collected, with labels (Z0–Z5) and color shades indicating each zone: Zone 0: Rest/Recovery – Very light activity Zone 1: Easy – Comfortable pace Zone 2: Aerobic – Steady effort Zone 3: Tempo – Challenging effort Zone 4: VO2 Max – High intensity Zone 5: Anaerobic/Maximum – Maximum effort UPDATEd (IN V1.1.2) Stress Levels (Updates every 20 minutes) – Uses Garmin's stress data. Four zones indicate your stress state: Zone 0 (0–15%): Relaxed — Minimal or no stress, calm state. Zone 1 (16–30%): Low Stress — Slightly elevated, but still comfortable. Zone 2 (31–45%): Mild Stress — Noticeable, but manageable stress. Zone 3 (46–60%): Moderate Stress — Clear signs of stress, but not overwhelming. Zone 4 (61–75%): High Stress — Significant stress, may affect performance or mood. Zone 5 (76–90%): Very High Stress — Strong stress, likely impacting well-being. Zone 6 (91–100%): Extreme Stress — Maximum stress, potentially unhealthy or unsustainable. Steps Activity (Real-time) – Live progress toward your daily step goal Calories Activity (Real-time) – Track progress toward your customizable daily calorie goal Battery Level (Real-time) – Monitor your watch battery percentage Active Heart Rate (Updates every 20 minutes) – Display active heart rate data Time Ring: The outermost ring serves as a dynamic time indicator. It displays three distinct segments that show the current time position: Hour Segment – Marks the current hour position around the ring Minute Segment – Marks the current minute position around the ring Second Segment (Optional) – Marks the current second position around the ring As time progresses throughout the day, these segments move continuously around the ring, providing a visual representation of time passing. You can customize the color of each segment independently, and you have the option to hide the second segment if you prefer a cleaner appearance. Customization & Design: NOTE: Please Note, that only the HR Zones & Stress Profile use the custom zones currently. Calories, Steps, Battery, and Active HR use static coded more traditional colors, and will not vary beased on theme selection. This is the case even if a theme is selected for the ring position, they are set too. 17 Color Themes – Customize each data ring independently with themes like Navy, Purple, Coral, Forest, Sunset, Ocean, and many more Time Segment Colors – Choose individual colors for the hour, minute, and optional second segments on the time ring Ring Opacity Control – Adjust how vivid each ring appears, from 10% (very faint) to 100% (fully opaque). For best results, use at least 30%—50% or higher is recommended Legend Opacity – Control the transparency of zone labels separately from the rings Optional Second Segment – Disable the second segment to simp
