About

COMPATIBILITY - Garmin watches with a round AMOLED display: fenix 9 / 9 Pro (43, 47, 51 mm), fenix 8 / 8 Pro (43, 47, 51 mm), fenix E, epix (Gen 2) and epix Pro (Gen 2), Forerunner 265 / 265S / 965 / 970 / 570 / 170, Venu 3 / 3S / 4, vivoactive 6, MARQ (Gen 2), Approach S70, Descent Mk3, D2 Mach 1 / Mach 2, tactix 7 AMOLED / tactix 8, quatix 7 / 8. No version for MIP displays (fenix 7, Forerunner 955 / 255...): the watch face needs the colour and transparency of AMOLED. PRICE - Free 2-hour trial, then a one-time purchase of $4.99 (+ VAT) via KiezelPay: the watch shows a code, you enter it at kzl.io/code. The licence is tied to your watch and is never asked again. THE SOLAR SYSTEM IN REAL TIME: the Sun at the centre and the eight planets at today's positions, computed with Kepler's laws from their orbital elements - not a picture, a real ephemeris. Saturn with its ring, Jupiter with its bands, Earth circled by a breathing golden ring: "you are here". AND IT TURNS: on every wrist raise, the past year plays back in twelve seconds - Mercury completes its four orbits, Venus one and a half, Earth one - then everything slows down and settles exactly on today. An orrery you wind up, that ends up telling the truth. AROUND IT, A RING OF 15 LIVE INDICATORS: battery, heart rate, SpO2, respiration, stress, Body Battery, temperature, steps, floors, active / resting / total calories, altitude, and local weather with its temperature. EARTH, ON A LONG PRESS: hold the screen for two seconds to switch to the Earth seen from space - the live day/night line, city lights at night, your position marked with a golden dot, the sun and moon arcs, animated weather (rain, snow, fog, thunderstorm). Another long press brings the solar system back. ALWAYS-ON: the solar system in thin grey lines, and the time. Everything is computed on the watch from its sensors and Garmin weather: no account, no personal data sent (only the KiezelPay licence check goes through your phone). NASA textures (Blue Marble, city lights). Aldrich font (OFL licence). Designed by Michael Esteves.

What's new

Fixes a crash that could stop the watch face and leave the "IQ!" error on screen. On this watch face it happened during the twelve-second animation. The Earth comes back on a long press, and now redraws immediately instead of waiting for the next minute. WHAT SETS THIS WATCH FACE APART: only Orrery winds the solar system back. On every wrist raise the past year plays out in twelve seconds - Mercury completes its four orbits, Venus one and a half, Earth one - then everything slows down and settles exactly on today's positions. "Earth from space" shows the same solar system, but frozen on today.
