About

``` The time, big. Steps and heart rate. Nothing else. A watch face for people who want to read the hour without looking twice. The clock takes every pixel the screen can spare, and only two numbers sit under it: your steps, and your current heart rate. WHAT IS ON THE SCREEN • The Outdoor Moris Xperience logo • The time, in the largest solid typeface the screen can fit • Steps, with a thousands separator so five digits stay readable • Current heart rate NOTHING TO SET UP There is no settings menu, and no options to choose. Install it, pick it as your watch face, done. The 12 or 24 hour format follows the setting already on your watch. BUILT FOR EVERY SCREEN Nothing is positioned by a fixed number of pixels. The clock picks the largest typeface that still fits, the two columns are measured against the width the round screen actually offers at their height, and every label is measured before it is drawn. It was checked in the simulator on ten screen sizes, from the 163-pixel Instinct 2S to the 454-pixel fenix 8 — including with 24 638 steps and a three digit heart rate, the longest values the row has to carry. On the Instinct family the logo sits on the left. That small round window in the corner of an Instinct screen is not a reserved area: it is the same screen, and anything drawn under it shows through, magnified. ALWAYS-ON In low-power mode only the clock stays lit. On an AMOLED screen a black pixel is a pixel that is off — a watch face that keeps drawing everything in always-on mode costs battery for nothing. PRIVACY No permissions at all. Steps come from the activity monitor and heart rate from the current activity, and a watch face reads both without asking for anything. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent anywhere. A NOTE ON HEART RATE Outside an activity, the watch only refreshes the optical heart rate reading from time to time. The field shows -- between two readings. That is the watch, not the watch face.
