About
FuelTarget tells you how much to eat today based on what you've actually
burned — not what some app guessed from your steps last week.
Every time you open it, FuelTarget reads three numbers from your watch:
- Your Basal Metabolic Rate, computed from the weight, height, age, and
gender in your Garmin profile.
- Today's cumulative calories burned, straight from your watch's activity
monitor.
- The current local time.
It then projects how much you'll burn by end of day, subtracts your goal
modifier (cut, maintain, or bulk), and shows you the number to eat. The big
number adjusts naturally as the day goes: a hard morning run lifts it, a
sedentary afternoon brings it down.
What's on the screen:
- EAT TODAY — your live calorie target.
- BURN — what your watch has counted so far today.
- BMR — your basal rate from Mifflin-St Jeor.
- Goal column — your active cut, maintain, or bulk amount.
- A glance widget so you can swipe from the watch face without opening the
app.
- A second page with daily macro targets (protein / carbs / fat in grams)
that adjust based on whether today is a rest, strength, endurance, or
mixed-training day.
Set your goal mode and deficit/surplus magnitudes from the Connect IQ Mobile
app on your phone. No accounts, no logins, no third-party services.
Privacy by design: no network requests, no analytics, no telemetry. Reads
