No hands and no marks. One chord splits two colour fields: its angle is the minute, its colour pair is the hour. THERMAL removes the dial entirely and leaves colour and a single boundary. The screen is two filled fields divided by one straight chord. The chord turns once an hour, so its angle is the minute. The colour pair of the two fields steps through a twelve stage cycle across the day, from deep blue at midnight through pale amber at dawn to violet and rust in the evening, so the face reads like a sky rather than an instrument. The boundary thickens and thins with your heart rate against your resting rate, and step goal progress accretes as small marks around the bezel. Every colour pair is chosen so at least one of the two fields stays highly reflective, which is what keeps the face readable in sunlight on a transflective display where brightness is reflectance rather than backlight. The always on frame reduces to the chord line and a single dot at the bezel. Settings are available directly on the watch through the face's own menu, and also in the Garmin Connect phone app under Connect IQ Apps, Watch Faces.
