Datafield to display ascent, elevation gain related measures. Ascent+ Datafield displays the elapsed ascent / remaining ascent / total ascent / elapsed ascent % / remaining ascent % given the total ascent. Note: because Garmin doesn't provide the total ascent of a course / route the user has to set the estimated total ascent at the beginning of the course. Note: although Garmin provides a value called "totalAscent" it is essentially the elapsed ascent (the total ascent since the beginning of the activity) so Ascent+ uses the "total ascent" as the total estimated ascent of the activity / course / route. ## Installation This is a data field. After installing it, you have to add it to one of your activitys' layout: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=gyywAozBuAAGlvfzvR9VZ8 You can add it as a Connect IQ datafield to your activity layout: 1. From the watch screen enter the activity: Start/Select ≫ choose your activity 2. Up/Menu ≫ {activity} settings ≫ Data Screens ≫ choose screen ≫ Start/Select button 3. You can change the Layout and add a new field or you can change an existing Data Field. 4. In Data Fields ≫ Start ≫ ConnectIQ Fields ≫ Ascent+ 5. Exit the {activity} settings. You can start your activity now. ## Configuration You can change the settings in Connect IQ or Garmin Express. - Course ascent in your unit (m/ft): set the total ascent of your planned course/route - Measure: elapsed ascent | remaining ascent | total ascent | elapsed ascent % | remaining ascent % NOTE: after changing the measure you need to restart the data field (i.e: exit the activity and enter it again) to update the label ## Support
