Fixie-Cadence

Fixie-Cadence provides a pedaling cadence estimate based on the speed from your Garmin unit, assuming you use a fixed-gear bike such as a track bike or a fixie. But it can also be used with a geared bike in a set up where you don't need to switch gears and need continuous pedaling, such as a home trainer recovery/zone 2 session on rollers! In addition, the cadence is recorded into your Fit file as a "virtual cadence" that you can then analyze at your convenience on Garmin Connect (app or website). Be aware that you need to specify your actual set up in the Connect IQ application on your phone: rear wheel diameter (in mm), and number of teeth on both your cog and chainring.
