This FREE data field (with optional Pro tier upgrade) provides a simple current gear display and records gear usage metrics to your activity file for post-ride analysis in Garmin Connect. Garmin limits each activity to 16 developer fields per message type (Session, Lap, Record) and 32 bytes total per message type, shared across all installed data fields. If you use other data fields that write developer FIT fields, be selective to avoid crashes. If you're only using eShiftMetrics, it's safe to enable all available fields. #### Need Help?
