Beta:Run and Walk
· v01.00.033-1
About
Please read the notice under "News" dated 05/30/2023 regarding the FR265 and FR965 models with firmware 4.19
This data field counts down the time or distance set in the Connect IQ App for alternating run and walk intervals to zero.
Time and distance can be combined as desired for the running and walking intervals, e.g.
- 3:00 minutes running and then 20 seconds walking
- 600 meters running and then 30 seconds walking
- 3:30 minutes running and then 50 meters walking
- 750 meters running and then 100 meters walking
The remaining time or distance is displayed graphically via a decreasing progress bar.
The following can be set via the Connect IQ App:
General:
- The width and direction of the progress bar
- Display of the heart rate in the current heart rate zone
- Start first running interval immediately or only after warmup
- End the interval by reaching the cooldown or continue
- Sound and vibration signal at the end of an interval
- Display at the end of each interval: In relation to the current interval type (running/walking), the average pace of all previous intervals or the currently active interval can be displayed in the last 5 seconds. It is also possible to simply count down the time or distance to "0".
- Save average pace for running and walking intervals in the FIT file.
- Save the percentage of running intervals in relation to the total time / total distance in the FIT file.
- Save data for a graph (Garmin Connect) with run and walk intervals in the FIT file. On its own, this graph doesn't make much sense, but you can combine it well with other graphs (e.g. pace or heart rate).
for the running or walking section:
- the duration or distance and
- the color of the progress bar
With the layout "1 field and 2 fields" the heart rate within the current heart rate zone can be displayed additionally. The color of the arrow corresponds to that of the heart rate zone. Access to the fitness profile is required for this.
Access to the activity data is required for saving the data for the average pace and the graph of the running and walking intervals.
