Minimal Stacks
· v1.1
About
Hours stacked over minutes at full height, split by a coloured rule, with the
weekday running up one edge and the date up the other. Built for AMOLED: true
black, and nothing on the screen that is not information.
FOURTEEN TYPEFACES
Garmin ships two fonts. This face carries fourteen, compiled in — condensed
grotesques, a heavy slab, high-contrast serifs, a squared monospace, a
dot-matrix, a pixel face and an inline stripe. Change the typeface and the
whole dial changes character.
THIRTY-FOUR COLOURS, TWO ROLES
Set the hours and the minutes-and-rule independently, from six hue families.
The quiet shades are desaturated rather than dimmed, so they stay readable on
black.
CONFIGURED ON THE WATCH
Long-press the face and open Settings. Typeface, both colours with visible
swatches, and switches for the rule, the quarter marks, the weekday and the
date — all without reaching for your phone. Garmin Connect works too; both
write the same settings.
ALWAYS-ON
On watches with burn-in protection, the always-on screen keeps the numerals,
dimmed, and shifts them on a cycle so no pixel holds a bright value.
TRY IT, THEN BUY IT
Runs in full for 24 hours. After that it shows the time in a plain font along
with an 8-digit device code — you are never left without the time. Enter that
code at https://www.megaapp.uk/minimal-stacks, pay once, and put the 6-digit key into the
"License key" setting. The key is verified on the watch itself; the face never
uses the network and needs no permissions.
$2.99. One payment, no subscription.
Weekday and month names are shown in English.
