Solar information depends on Garmin’s data. The watch face does not continuously run GPS; after travelling, Garmin must update its information. If the display is in low power at the transition, the corresponding scene appears on the next active-display update. Solar backgrounds do not change the animation time windows or sleep schedule below. SEVEN MICHA STATES 1. Happy companion The usual state, with small blinking, ear and tongue movements. 2. Stretch / yawn Triggers once daily on the first eligible active-display wake between 06:00 and 09:59. The 2-second mode holds the full-yawn pose afterwards. Continuous mode repeats the yawn during the current active-display session, holding the full pose for about 1.5 seconds. Standby or leaving the face stops playback. The next wake re-evaluates automatic states without triggering that day’s morning yawn again. 3. Affectionate head tilt Triggers once daily on the first eligible active-display wake between 18:00 and 22:59. This automatic special action ends after a short playback, then normal state selection resumes. 4. 45° walk Shown when the available heart-rate reading is 85–119 bpm. Eight frames play in order, each lasting at least 0.2 seconds, for an approximately 1.6-second cycle without catch-up skips. Heart-rate-driven changes to Happy or Run take effect after the current walk cycle finishes. 5. 45° little run Shown when the available heart-rate reading reaches 120 bpm. 6. Goal-celebration belly roll Triggers once daily on the first eligible active-display wake after reaching the daily step goal. The 2-second mode holds the rolled-over pose afterwards; Continuous mode loops the animation. 7. Sleep breathing Follows sleep/wake times provided by Garmin, with gentle belly movement. If a valid schedule is unavailable, the fallback is 23:00–06:00. In Automatic mode, the sleep schedule has priority. Other simultaneous conditions are handled in this order: morning yawn, goal roll, evening affection, then heart-rate-based walking/running. Each daily special action triggers once; a pending action is reconsidered on a later eligible wake. Scheduled sleep and manually selected states do not have to wait for a walk cycle to finish. ANIMATION MODES * Off: displays a static Micha without animation. * 2 seconds: plays for about two seconds after an active-display wake. Yawn and belly-roll animations ret

What's new

What’s New in 1.4.9 Support fēnix 9 Series AMOLED Watch What’s New in 1.4.8 • Improved the morning yawn animation. In Continuous mode, the full-yawn pose now remains visible for approximately 2.5 seconds, with each complete loop lasting about 4 seconds. • The daily yawn is marked complete only after a full animation cycle. If interrupted by a notification, standby, or Always-On mode, it will play again on the next confirmed wrist raise. • In Two-Second mode, the third full-yawn frame remains visible after playback stops. • In Animation Off mode, the yawn now displays the third full-yawn frame instead of the first preparation frame. • Fixed the bottom step-progress bar appearing full at low step counts. It now highlights only the actual progress. • Invalid Garmin step-goal data now safely falls back to a 10,000-step goal. • Existing layouts, fonts, day/night backgrounds, temperature units, walking speed, and other Micha animation states remain unchanged.
