Zen Minimalist
· v2.1.1
About
If you want to use this watch face, please read the entire description before using it, thanks!
The goal of the watchface is a very clean user experience, but with optional functionality by configurable data fields (positions, colors, font sizes). This watchface is built to be as power efficient as possible. This is done via updating the screen only once per minute – this minimize the screen redraws. For this reason, I do not want to add too many features (such as seconds), but if you really miss something, let me know and I will see if it can be added. The watchface is completely free with all its features as always.
Currently, there is an option to configure up to 10 data fields. They are called according to the watch minute positions: 5, 10, 20, 25, 35, 40, 50, and 55. Data fields for 0 and 30 are called upper and lower and they are the main ones with separately configurable colors.
Additionally, instead of the upper field text, you can display notification icons signalizing alarm (A), connection status (BT), and unread notifications (M). Color of the active notification can be set to correspond to the clock color, or it can be configured manually.
The main clock font has configurable colors for:
• Normal state (corresponds to Garmin move bar 0)
• Inactive - option to configure different colors for each move bar level (inactive for 60, 75, 90, 105, and 120 minutes)
Text fields currently support:
- None (turned off)
- Date (configurable format)
- Steps
- Step goal in percent
- Battery status in percent
- Walked distance in km
- Last heart rate
- Climbed floors
- Temperature (set automatically in F/C according to the watch setting)
- Calories
- Body battery
- Several field combinations
You can also configure multiples sizes of the font (depending on your configuration, bigger font might not fit the screen while others might look too small, that is ok and not a problem of the watchface!), optional data fields description (if you forgot which data field show what, again it might not fit the screen), main clock format, and background color.
Colors starting with “Dim” are for AMOLED devices only, if you want to save some extra battery / reduce display wear, but they might be too dim in some conditions. If you set this on other devices, the color might be black instead.
IMPORTANT - HOW TO CONFIGURE THE WATCHFACE:
You need to use the Garmin Connect application on your smart phone - there you have customization options, where you can modify settings of all watchfaces - it is the same for every watchface with configurable settings. You have to go to menu and select: Garmin Devices / Your device / Appearance / Watch Faces / Zen Minimalist and there should be three options: Uninstall, View in store and Settings - just select Settings and there is the configuration.
If you want to uninstall the watchface, you might need to select a different watchface as your active one first.
FEEDBACK, REVIEWS, BUGS – CONTACT ME!
If you find a bug, something is off, or you want to ask me for additional features, please contact me first (Contact developer) and provide your email so I can contact you back. Please do this before giving a bad review - keep in mind I do this for free and I try to fix stuff if it is possible, but giving a bad review before contacting me solves nothing and it is not very good motivation for me!
