QNH
· v1.1
About
This is an app that should work just like altimeter in plane (assuming your watch pressure sensor works good).
Order of operation:
-get the sea level pressure (QNH) from your local weather station / airport
-input it in app
-read your altitude
-profit!!!
Of course, this might not be accurate, as watch pressure sensor is rather toy than an actual scientific equipment. However I wanted to create such an app just for tests, so here it is for you as well.
I might add other units in future.
Temperature is added as it is affecting reading. I am not sure how it works yet.
You can calibrate your watch sensor via settings. For example, mine shows 10hPa less then actual pressure on my altitude, so I can calibrate +10 and get correct readings.
How to know how much your pressure sensor is off? You need to either know pressure at your altitude (google for a calculator) at the moment, or know your altitude and use settings to compensate for pressure difference and get correct reading. Once you set this, theoretically you can check your altitude whenever you know QNH.
Have fun!
What's new
v1.1.0
-fixed possibility of inputting negative pressure which was crashing the app
-added new units: feets for altitude and inHg for pressure which work independentl from your watch units
v1.0.1
-added new watches
