RunCode puts a clear parkrun participant barcode on your compatible Garmin watch, ready to open without a separate account, advertising or developer-operated network connection. The Free edition is a complete one-person barcode app. Save one participant profile, choose from four themes and keep optional ICE details available in a separate view. BUILT AROUND THE BARCODE Every theme keeps black bars on a white carrier with protected quiet zones. Layouts adapt to supported watch shapes and display classes rather than stretching one screen design across every device. SIMPLE SETUP Open RunCode settings in Garmin Connect or Garmin Express, enter your participant name and ID, choose a theme, then save and synchronise. Enter an ID as A followed by digits, lower-case a followed by digits, or digits only. Valid input is normalised automatically; spaces, punctuation and other letters are rejected. DISPLAY AND DEVICE AVAILABILITY RunCode is available only for compatible watches shown on this Store page. On supported low-colour or monochrome displays, the visual choice is limited to Minimal Black and Minimal White because those screens cannot reproduce the full colour-theme collection. Store screenshots showing four themes represent the compatible colour-display experience. The Large barcode-height option is available only on eligible 240, 260 and 280-pixel high-colour watches. Other models use the Standard height or a layout selected for their display. App Glance is unavailable on some watches. Very long participant IDs containing 15–16 digits may not fit a compact monochrome screen without distorting the barcode. RunCode shows a clear fallback instead; carry your official barcode for that participant. PRIVATE BY DESIGN RunCode requests zero permissions and has no developer-operated networking, analytics, advertising or user account. Settings use Garmin's application-settings system and may synchronise through Garmin services under Garmin's privacy terms; the RunCode developer does not receive participant or ICE details. Barcode performance can vary with the watch, screen condition, lighting and scanning equipment.
