Padel Point

This is what the native Garmin Padel App should have been. Score your padel match from your wrist. One button per team, one tap per point. Padel Point keeps the score so you don't have to. Tap your team's card if yourwatch has a touchscreen, or press UP when your team wins a point and DOWN when the rivals do. The screen shows the point score, games, sets, who is serving, how long you have been playing and the time of day. FULL PADEL SCORING - Points, games, sets and tiebreaks, best of three - Tiebreak at 6–6, with the correct service rotation - Three ways to settle a deuce: Advantage (win by two), Golden Point (the next point wins at 40–40) and Star Point (two advantages are played out, then the next point decides) - Optional Super Tiebreak: at one set all, the decider is a single 10-point tiebreak instead of a full third set - Undo the last point, up to 32 points back SERVE AND CHANGE OF ENDS The ball marks the serving team and moves with the rules, including through a tiebreak. The watch can also buzz and prompt you when it is time to change ends, after every odd game, and every six points of a tiebreak. That one is off until you ask for it, since indoor club play mostly ignores changing ends; switch it on in Options if your matches follow the rule. ALERTS YOU CONTROL A light tick confirms every point you register. It has its own switch, separate from the change of ends, so you can keep one and silence the other. Both are also in the app settings in Garmin Connect, and both can be changed mid-match. Two moments announce themselves whatever you have switched on. When a pair is one point from the match the status line reads MATCH POINT and the watch gives a double buzz — called before the point is played, the way a racket sport calls it. The point that wins the match gets a long buzz of its own. SAVED AS REAL ACTIVITY When the match is over the score stays on screen reading FINAL, with SAVE MATCH? where the sets and games were. Press START when you are ready to save or discard. Saving gives you a Garmin activity recorded as padel, with one lap per set and the score carried inside the activity itself: - Games for each team as the match goes on, drawn as a chart - Final sets, scoreline and winner - How long each set took - Points won by each pair, total points played, and total games NOTHING ELSE TO SET UP. No phone connection, no account, and no data leaves the watch. If the app is closed mid-match — flat battery, an accidental swipe — it opens straight back into the same score. The recording cannot be resumed the same way, so a match interrupted that way is saved to Garmin Connect as two activities rather than one, and the timer counts the time the app was open. If you want to say thanks, the bottom of the Options menu has a "Buy me a coffee" row showing a QR code. It is entirely optional and never prompted; the app asks for no network permission and sends nothing anywhere either way. Those watches run an older Connect IQ that has no padel sport type. The score, sets, winner and every other field are unaffected.*
