PHOSPHOR turns a 1980s terminal display into a watch face: warm amber type, baked scan lines, and data laid out like a readout — the constraints of the screen made into the style, not fought against. Built for how the watch actually looks The layout follows the curve of a round display instead of trapping a rectangle inside it, so the face fills the glass edge to edge. On MIP screens it drops the glow and shifts to a brighter, higher-contrast amber — the way a reflective display wants to be read in daylight, where most faces turn to mud. You choose what it shows Five data rows, each one yours to set. Three layouts, your colours Switch between FULL (five rows with bars), PLAIN (numbers only) or THREE ROWS with more breathing room. Pick your time colour and data colour independently: amber, green, white, cyan, red or blue. On fēnix 8, Venu 4 and other newer watches, all of this lives in the on-device watch face editor — set it right on your wrist, with a live preview, no phone needed. On every other supported watch it's in the Garmin Connect app. Always-on, done properly A separate always-on design — not a dimmed copy. Just the time and date, large and legible, in dim amber with no glow and no scan lines. The whole block drifts a few pixels each minute to protect the screen, and stays well under the 10% pixel budget. Light on the battery Everything on screen is text, lines and rectangles — the cheapest things a watch can draw. The glow and scan lines are baked into the font itself, so they cost nothing to render.
