About
A pilot's-instrument homage for your wrist: luminous analog hands sweeping over a ticked aviator dial, with a full digital flight panel glowing beneath them. Five configurable data readouts, four corner status lights, five ways to read the time, and a stopwatch hiding under the hub. Built ground-up in Monkey C and tuned to look right on every panel, from the brightest AMOLED to the most power-frugal transflective screen.
THE DIAL
- Aviator instrument face. A precision index ring and applied hour markers frame a deep instrument-LCD readout, for that scramble-ready cockpit-chronograph look.
- Analog over digital. Skeletonized hour and minute hands and a red-tipped second hand ride above the digital panel, so you get the glance-speed of hands with the precision of numbers.
- One clean lockup. The instrument brand mark sits dead-centre and stays out of the data's way.
HANDS AND LUME
- Two lume tones. Choose White or Cream (aged) for the hands and markers, applied together so the whole face reads as one piece at night.
- Six always-on lume colours. Set the low-power face to Lume Green, Ice Cyan, White, Amber, Red, or Blue to match your cockpit.
- Optional smooth sweep. Turn on a gliding second hand on AMOLED instead of a once-a-second tick.
THE DIGITAL PANEL
- Five data slots. Fill the readout with any of seventeen fields: Day of Year, Steps, Heart Rate, Calories, Battery %, Body Battery, Stress, Floors, Intensity Minutes, Altitude, Distance, Step-Goal %, Date, Month, Recovery, Temperature, or Day of Week.
- Four corner indicators. Each of the four corners shows what you want: Phone Connected, Alarm, Weather icon, Do Not Disturb, Notifications, Date, Temperature, Battery %, Heart Rate, Steps, or Off.
- Live cycling from the wrist. Long-press the label to rotate through your five slots without opening a menu.
FIVE WAYS TO READ THE TIME
- One tap through the zones. Press the bottom time to cycle Local, a second Custom Time Zone, UTC, GMT, and MTC.
- Your own second zone. Set the Custom Time Zone anywhere from UTC-12 to UTC+14 for home, base, or a colleague abroad.
- A little further out. MTC is Mars Coordinated Time, computed from the current sol, for when local hours feel too ordinary.
ALWAYS-ON AND SLEEP LUME
- A purpose-built low-power face. Markers, hand lume, and pointers render on black with a gentle burn-in walk, so Always-On stays crisp and screen-safe.
- Trigger it your way. Have the sleep lume face take over on Do Not Disturb, on Night Mode, on both, or never.
BUILT-IN STOPWATCH
- Arm it from the hub. Long-press the centre to flip the bottom field into a stopwatch, staged at 0:00.
- Run it like a pusher. Press the bottom readout to start and pause; press the logo to reset. Long-press the hub again to drop back to the time.
TOUCH AND CUSTOMISE
- Long-press a value to jump straight to that metric's Garmin app or Glance.
- The on-device settings menu mirrors the full Garmin Connect phone settings, so you can re-style the face from the watch itself.
EVERY WATCH, THE RIGHT RENDER
- AMOLED gets the full treatment: layered shadows, alpha glints on the seconds hand, and the smooth sweep.
- MIP / transflective watches get a battery-smart flat render (solid dial, crisp opaque shadows) so the face stays legible and easy on the battery.
- 46 watch models / 65 device variants supported from a single build.
I am offering the watchface for free, but if you do and you would like to buy me a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/cstrrider. Also, I have hidden a little easter egg in the watch that makes it look even more authentic, so see if you can figure it out! If you would like me to spoil the secret I would be happy for a donation of above $2. I will send the description of the Easter egg via Ko-Fi messages, but if you have any issues don't hesitate to email me.
