About

WakeTrack is the first dedicated wakeboarding activity app for Garmin watches — built for cable parks and boat sessions. AUTOMATIC JUMP DETECTION Using your watch's built-in accelerometer, WakeTrack detects your jumps automatically — no button pressing. Each jump logs air time, estimated height (via kinematic calculation), and horizontal distance. Detection is tuned for cable-park and wake physics so arm movements and board chatter don't count as jumps, and you're in control: choose how the watch buzzes on a jump (or turn it off), set the sensitivity, or switch jump tracking off entirely in the app settings. THREE RIDING MODES • Cable Circular — automatic lap detection when you return to the start point (6 and 7-tower parks) • Cable 2-Tower — automatic lap detection via GPS heading reversal at each end tower • Boat — manual lap logging with a single button press or tap REAL-TIME DATA (4 SCREEN PAGES) Page 1: Clock, 5-second delayed speed, current-ride distance vs total distance, current-ride laps vs total laps, heart rate (bright red, with a live pulse dot) and jump count Page 2: Last jump vs session best — air time, height, distance, spin — plus live heart rate with zone bar Page 3: Session stats — best spin, wake time vs dock time, top speed, total spins Page 4: Info — large clock, location, an hourly forecast table (wind direction + m/s, rain %, cloud %), date, temperature, heart rate, phone notifications Every value auto-sizes to fit its space, so numbers stay sharp and never overlap or clip — from the largest AMOLED fenix down to the compact Instinct displays. 5-SECOND DELAYED SPEED Speed is shown with a 5-second delay so you can check your approach speed after landing, not while riding. SETTINGS YOU CONTROL (Garmin Connect Mobile → WakeTrack) • Buzz on jump — Off, Single, or Double • Buzz on lap — on or off • Track jumps — turn jump detection off entirely for a distance/speed/laps-only ride • Jump sensitivity — Strict, Standard, or High GARMIN ECOSYSTEM Recorded as a native Wakeboarding activity — fully integrated with Garmin Connect, Body Battery, Training Effect, and calorie tracking. Custom FIT fields export jump count, best air time, best height, and best distance directly to your activity file. COMPATIBLE WITH Venu x1, Venu 2/2S/2 Plus, Venu 3/3S, Fenix 7/7S/7X/7 Pro series, Fenix 8 series, epix 2/Pro series, Forerunner 255/265/965, Instinct 2/3 series, Enduro 3, MARQ 2, and more.

What's new

WakeTrack 2.2 — What's New ================================ Increase GPS tracking density to improve accuracy. WakeTrack 2.1 — What's New ================================ FIXED false jumps. The accelerometer no longer counts arm movements, board chatter or a rough landing as jumps — so your jump count reflects real air, not hundreds of phantom jumps a session. Detection now requires a genuine launch, a sustained airborne phase and a real landing, with a minimum gap between jumps, and a single stray spike right after the pop no longer mis-fires. NEW settings (Garmin Connect Mobile → WakeTrack → Settings): - Buzz on jump — Off / Single / Double. Choose Off if you don't want a vibration on every jump. - Buzz on lap — on or off. - Track jumps — turn jump detection off entirely if you only want distance, speed and laps (no jump counting, no buzzing). - Jump sensitivity — Strict / Standard / High. Standard is the new default; Strict counts only clear kicker/wake air, High also catches small hops. Thanks to everyone who reported the over-counting and the buzzing — this update is for you. WakeTrack 1.6.0 — What's New ================================ Redesigned main data page — a clean top clock, prominent 5-second speed, current-ride vs total distance, current-ride vs total laps, and heart rate with a live pulse dot. NEW dynamic text sizing: every value automatically scales to fit its slot, so long numbers like "12.96km" or "1:09:42" never overlap at the divider or run under the bezel on round watches. Reworked weather page into an hourly forecast table — directional wind arrows (up = north), wind in m/s, rain % and cloud %, plus your location. Simplified session stats (falls, best spin, wake/dock time, top speed, spins) and switched all labels to clean sentence case. Added a per-ride lap counter (laps since you last left the dock) alongside the activity total, with smart reset for cable falls vs. quick boat pick-ups. Fixed the start-menu title wrapping on the smallest screens. Verified layout on 30+ device sizes, from the 163px Instinct to 454px AMOLED displays. ---------- Old versions ---------- 1.5.2 - Fixed the HR freeze bug properly. The 1.5 fix stopped the sensor from wedging but caused HR to stick at the first reading for the entire session. Re-enabled the sensor subscription (safe now that we use SPORT_GENERIC instead of SPORT_WAKEBOARDING) so HR updates live at 1 Hz, with automatic fallback to the activity pipeline and 60-second staleness detection. Added spin tracking. The accelerometer now detects rotations during jumps by tracking lateral axis sign changes in the airborne phase. Live pages show last and best spin, total spins, and best spin. Two new custom fields (Total Spins, Best Spin) appear in Garmin Connect. Added a 24h clock in the top-right corner of every data page so you don't have to exit the activity to check the time. Improved data page spacing. Labels now sit tighter against their values with more breathing room between metric groups, so each number clearly belongs to the label above it. 1.5.3 - Fixed HR reliability
