Peak Tracker draws the mountains around you as a live panorama. Every summit is placed where it actually is by true bearing, and by how high it rises above your eye level. Turn your wrist and the skyline turns with you. Whatever you are facing is named underneath, with its altitude, distance and bearing. It is built for the place you actually use it: a ridge, with no signal and the phone at the bottom of your pack. Every summit is inside the app. Nothing to download, nothing to set up, no connection needed — ever. The app asks for no network permission at all. WHAT IT DOES • A live horizon panorama, driven by the compass • Elevation angles corrected for the earth's curvature and for atmospheric refraction, so distant summits sit where your eye expects them • Summits hidden behind a nearer ridge are dropped, not stacked on top of it • Aerial perspective in four steps: near ridges dark and sharp, far ones pale and hazy • The full list of what is around you, nearest first • Pan by hand when the compass cannot be trusted — near a car, indoors, or with a magnetised strap • Range, field of view and vertical exaggeration are all adjustable MASSIFS 31 massifs and 9128 summits: the French, Swiss, Italian and Austrian Alps, the Pyrenees, Corsica, the Jura, the Vosges and the Massif Central. One massif is loaded at a time. The watch picks the right one from your position — you never have to think about it. Pin one by hand and, if you are not in it, the panorama is drawn from inside that massif with its name banded across the top, so you can study a range before you go.
