Simple digital watch face with a status bar, a date, and a rim you can fill with as much or as little as you like: hour and minute marks, a seconds hand, your activity goal, recovery time, the next sun event and the wind. On watches with a MIP display the seconds hand keeps ticking in low power mode, so the seconds are always there rather than only when you raise your wrist. Always-on AMOLED watches update once a minute, so there the hand appears when the watch wakes. Status bar shows: - battery level; - alarm icon, if any are set; - phone, if connected; - DND, if enabled; - activity icon, if active; - notifications icon, if there are any; - a cat, if you want one. The activity and notifications icons can each be switched off, and the cat comes and goes on its own setting whether the rest of the bar is shown or not. Time follows the 12h or 24h setting of the watch, in HH:MM or HHMM, and on a 12h watch an am or pm sits at the end of the status bar. The date can be shown short or long. Hour marks and minute marks switch on and off separately and share one colour, the minute marks slimmer and shorter than the hours. Recovery time is counted round the rim in its own colour, one mark an hour from twelve o'clock: five hours reach one o'clock, twelve reach a little past two. Hour marks inside the sweep take that colour too. The data hand fills a full circle as you reach the daily goal and changes colour once you pass it. Pick what it tracks: - steps; - floors climbed; - active minutes for the week; - wheelchair pushes. Body battery runs as a gauge across the bottom of the face, inside the marks: a grey track from the 8 o'clock mark round to the 4 o'clock one, filled to your reading in a colour of your choosing. A single dot marks the next sun event where an hour hand would point at it: a ring for the coming sunrise, a solid disc for the coming sunset, both half sunk into the rim and coloured amber and red. It reads the times the watch already keeps, on watches new enough to offer them. Chevrons on the rim point inward from the direction the wind is blowing from, with north at twelve o'clock: one for a light wind, two above 10 km/h, three above 20. They need the weather your phone syncs. The marks, the seconds hand, the data hand and the wind chevrons can each be given a colour, tuned or disabled, and so can the time and date, from 17 colours chosen to render cleanly on both MIP and AMOLED screens.
