About

Location Search tool: https://oztides.mltindustries.com.au/ This link also contains a help guide and other information. Please read the instructions here and on the location page fully! A tide app purpose-built for Australia that pulls tidal data from the WillyWeather service. You can download and store data offline on the watch for up to 14 days per location. This is the only tide app in Australia that lets you predownload tides and store them for later use, making it perfect for when you're heading off the grid. Tidal data is available for Australia only, but I’ve allowed all regions to download and install, which can help with trip planning or for when you're entering Australian waters and need tidal information without any connectivity. You can install and update location banks ahead of time. With V4 of the app, I’ve moved from a free model to a paid one to provide a more seamless and reliable experience for users. This helps me address common issues like obtaining a WillyWeather API key and streamlines the overall setup process—I was spending a lot of time helping people out. Now, I offer a no-holds-barred, 24-hour trial so you can fully test the app before purchasing. As a hobbyist developer and a keen fisherman from the NT, I use this app myself all the time. If I see any bugs, I fix them up, but I’m always keen to take suggestions and feedback to make it even better. You purchasing this app is greatly appreciated — the couple of bucks for the app lets me get out on the water with my family a bit more often! For any questions, use the "Contact Developer" button instead of leaving a bad review. If you're not happy or have issues, I’ll do my best to help out when I’m available. Just keep in mind, I do this in my spare time outside of a full-time job and family, so support is on a ‘best effort’ basis (usually same-day though!). INSTRUCTIONS Step 1: Download and install the app. You have a 24 hour, full functionality trial period before you need to unlock through KiezelPay. Contact me directly if you don’t want to pay through that service and I can arrange another method of payment and send you an unlock code. Step 2: The app requires location ID's to work and requires you search these separately and enter them into the app through the apps ConnectIQ settings page. I have made a location ID search tool which is available at https://oztides.mltindustries.com.au/ That page has more instructions and general information about the app. Step 3: Use the settings page in the ConnectIQ app to configure the OzTides app. Enter in a Location ID for each of the 10 storage banks you would like to pull data for. Setting a location ID to '0' will hide that location from the menu. Hit save to save your settings. Step 4: On the device, go to the menu and select the desired location bank. Hold the menu button again and select - 'Refresh, Get New Data" from the menu to pull the latest information down. The location name will be updated directly from the data when it is refreshed. Step 5: Press 'Select' or tap the screen to display your tides. Data in this app is sourced from WillyWeather, which uses other sources, such as the Australian Government's Bureau of Meteorology. You should also carefully read WILLYWEATHER terms and conditions. All tides should be verified through another source or with personal experience for accuracy.
