aXe ASTROLABE A true planispheric astrolabe, scaled to your wrist. See the Sun, Moon, ecliptic, and bright stars placed by real celestial geometry — driven by your location, date, and local time. Not a static decoration: a working sky map that still earns a place as a glanceable daily driver. THE IDEA Our goal was a unique, living instrument: a stereographic climate plate with accurate diurnal motion, packaged as a refined watch face. Beauty first; honest math underneath. POWER OR EFFICIENCY There are a lot of calculations under the hood. Simple power profiles let you balance responsiveness and battery without compromising the geometry: • High power — snappy data fields and more frequent sky updates • Balanced — everyday wear • Efficient — battery-conscious intervals Always-On Display (AMOLED only - turn on/off in watch settings) provides low-intensity time and optional sun, moon and horizon. An optional low-power mode (MIP only) keeps the dance of Sun and Moon on a simplified plate, then wakes to the full sky when you raise your wrist. Turn every element on for your maximum viewing pleasure, or turn them off one-by-one for a minimalist (and battery conscious) approach. WHAT YOU SEE • Latitude-true climate plate (tropics, horizon, almucantars, azimuths, twilight arc) • Sun and Moon on the plate; optional stars and ecliptic. • Sun 'dims' at sunset. • Dynamic moon icon shows current moon phase, oriented correctly for northern or southern hemispheres. • Optional unequal-hour arcs and high-density plate lines. • Show or hide digital time. • Outer ring (0-100, 12h-12h or 24h). • Analog hand and outer ring arrow can independently show 24h time, Battery %, Solar intensity, HR % of max, Steps % of goal, Body battery or Stress. • 4 data fields can show Battery icon, Battery icon + percent, Battery percent, Battery percent + days remaining, Heart rate, Steps, kCalories, Active kCalories, Distance, Floors, Body battery, Stress, Current temperature, Current + min/max temperature, Weather icon, Weather icon + temp, Humidity, Solar intensity, Notifications icon + count, Latitude or Next sunrise/sunset time. • Show or hide icons for a cleaner look. • Choose from two font sizes to suit your taste. • Sky projection: Authentic or intuitive orientation (noon at top). • Bright stars (up to 12): northern observers see Altair, Capella, Arcturus, Sirius, Procyon, Deneb, Vega, Betelgeuse, Rigel, Aldebaran, Spica, and Alioth; southern observers see Alpha Centauri, Canopus, Achernar, Sirius, Procyon, Arcturus, Altair, Betelgeuse, Rigel, Spica, Regulus, and Aldebaran. Stars are drawn when they fall on the climate plate for your sky map. NO PHONE REQUIRED FOR THE SKY Option to enter latitude and longitude manually to set the sky for your location. Great for travel and for watches that stay offline. (Temperature fields use on-device Garmin weather when available.)
