About

Sometimes, when I do an outdoor-activity, I forget to import the toilets and waterpoints. It’s possible to connect my device with a cable to my phone, but that’s a bummer when I forgot the cables. That’s why I developed this application, to download the waypoints thruogh the bluetooth-connection with my phone. **** INSTRUCTIONS **** When you start the application, it directly starts to search for your locations. Let it find your location before you go any step further. Hold the menu-button (or up) till you see the menu. At the bottom of the menu you will find the distance to set. The application remembers the last chosen distance of the previous run. Hold the menu-button again to choose the waypoints you want to save to your device. Because of the memory limitations of the older devices, the results are limited to 20 waypoints. The result of the saved waypoints stays at the screen for 10 seconds, after the 10 seconds it shows the startscreen again. **** FEATURES **** The waypoints will be saved with a single character. C = campsites / campgrounds F = waterfalls M = mountainpeaks P = parkings T = toilets (restrooms) V = viewpoints W = drinking water The radius from your locations to search in is: 500 meters / 0.5 mile 1 kilometer / 1 mile 3 kilometers / 2 miles 5 kilometers / 3 miles 10 kilometers / 5 miles **** SUPPORT **** I built this program because I like to have new experiences and help you and myself in the outdoors. The time I spent on this was in the evenings, because of my fulltime job. If you want to buy me a beer you can donate through paypal: https://papypal.me/fearloos **** QUESTION AND COMMENTS **** Do you miss a type of waypoint, or do you have any suggestions, you can email my at ehe following address: [email protected] If you experience any problems, you can contact me at the same e-mailaddress. The application is available in English and Dutch. If you want to translate it into another language, you’re welcome to contact me. **** PERMISSIONS **** To run the application it needs the next rights: Position: to find your exact locations Communications: to download the waypoints using the data-connection of your mobile phone Persisted Content: started from Connect IQ 2.2 saving waypoints uses persisted content. The application uses it for saving the found waypoints. Persisted Locations: for older devices the application uses persisted locations for saving the found waypoints. **** DISCLAIMER **** The application uses the data-connection fo your mobile phone. Your telecomprovider can charge u for the data, I’m not responsible for those charges. For finding the waypoints the application uses Overpass API (https://overpass-api.de/) of OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.org/). The data you send to them (your location) is handled by their privacy policy (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy).
