Summertime is a premium digital watch face with a warm, relaxing golden-hour beach aesthetic — a living sky, drifting clouds, rolling waves, and a swaying palm silhouette, all procedurally rendered. Large outlined time and configurable complications keep you connected and styled for summer. FEATURES & DETAILS • LIVING SKY GRADIENT: A procedural backdrop that shifts colors dynamically by time of day (sunrise pastels, midday azure, sunset marigold, and a starry deep night). • REAL SUNRISE & SUNSET: The sun, day/night swap, stars, and sky gradient track the actual sunrise/sunset for your location and date, so golden hour lands when it really happens (falls back to a fixed summer schedule with no fix — no GPS is ever powered on). • ARCING SUN & MOON: A glowing sun (with rotating rays and bloom) and a crescent silver moon track the real day arc. • PROCEDURAL ANIMATIONS: Drifting fluffy clouds, rolling wave layers with physics, and a swaying palm tree silhouette at the beach. • LITTLE BEACH VISITORS: Every so often a visitor crosses the screen — a crab scuttles across the sand and a seagull glides down, walks a few steps, and takes off by day; a dolphin leaps and a whale breaches (with a spout and splash) from the sea. Quiet and occasional by design, and fully optional (Show Critters setting). • ROTATING SECONDS: A sliced orange second indicator, with a dark rind border for legibility, floating and orbiting the perimeter. • CONFIGURABLE COMPLICATIONS: Choose what the bottom-left and bottom-right show — Heart Rate, Body Battery, Device Battery, Steps, Calories, or Off — each with a matching themed icon. Defaults: left = Heart Rate, right = Device Battery. • STEPS SHORELINE BAR: A sand/gold steps progress bar with numeric step count, always shown beneath the time. • HIGH-CONTRAST OUTLINES: All texts (clock, date, weather, and metrics) feature a crisp black outline for absolute readability against the dynamic visual backdrops. BUILT FOR YOUR DISPLAY Summertime now runs on virtually every Connect IQ round watch and adapts to your panel: • AMOLED (Fenix 8 / tactix 8 / Fenix 8 Pro, Forerunner 965/970, Venu, epix, Instinct AMOLED, and more): smooth gradient fills, specular highlights, and active background illumination. • MIP / Solar (Fenix 7/8 Solar, Forerunner 255/955, Instinct, enduro): high-contrast flat fills and optimized backdrops tuned for maximum sunlight readability. Everything is laid out relative to your screen, with a correctly-sized font set baked for each resolution, so it looks right on every supported case size. ALWAYS-ON FRIENDLY On AMOLED, the always-on display uses a burn-in-safe variant — dim grey time/date, thin complication outlines, no fills or animations — with all lit pixels shifted slightly each minute. MIP panels always show the full face. SETTINGS • Show Date — toggle the date line. • Show Critters — toggle the little beach visitors (crab, seagull, dolphin, whale). • Step Goal Override — steps for a full shoreline bar; 0 uses the watch's own step goal. • Bottom-Left Complication / Bottom-Right Complication — pick Heart Rate, Body Battery, Device Battery, Steps, Calories, or Off for each side. PRIVACY Summertime uses only the SensorHistory permission to read Body Battery. Sunrise/sunset is computed from your watch's last-known location (it does not turn on GPS). It does not collect or transmit any data off your watch.
