Ever looked up and wondered what aircraft is flying overhead? With this application, you can quickly see ADS-B information in your nearby area. Tap on an aircraft track to see detailed information like the Flight Number and aircraft type (ICAO type designator). Details available depend on the API provider chosen. Features: - Data is fetched once every 10 seconds. Aircraft location is projected according to the reported ground speed and track between updates. - Data is fetched within a 10 nautical mile radius around the user's location. - Display is rotated according to the compass direction of the device, such that the North heading is spatially fixed. API Providers Supported: - ADS-B Exchange (USD$10/month, more details) https://rapidapi.com/adsbx/api/adsbexchange-com1/ - FlightAware AeroAPI (free for the first 100 requests/month, limited details) https://www.flightaware.com/commercial/aeroapi/ - OpenSky Network (free, limited details) https://opensky-network.org/ Limitations: - The application requires a GNSS location fix to operate. Make sure your current location has adequate sky visibility for GNSS signal reception. - The Connect IQ SDK has fairly strict limitation on HTTP response size. If there are too many aircrafts near your current location, you may receive a -402 error. There is currently no workaround for this issue. - The distance shown on device are for illustrative purposes only. The Math should be sound, but the displayed data has not been calibrated against measured data, and should not be used for navigation purposes. Your API key is only stored on device. It is not transmitted to anywhere except the API provider for authentication purpose.
