Waypoints (preview)

The widget for quick and easy waypoints navigation. The goal: When travelling to an unknown location, I typically search for places of interest in advance, using my computer or tablet. I save the places to Google Maps (best online), maps.me (works offline), and my watch ("glancable", durable, waterproof, unbeatable battery life). I then use a combination of these tools during my trip to navigate around. With this widget, my ambition is to support this workflow as conveniently as possible. The state: Nowhere near the goal, I have just started... three years ago :-). At the moment, the widget can only navigate you to a single waypoint, which can only be set using GCM or GE by entering coordinates exactly (!) in one very specific format. That's all... But I thought perhaps some of you would like to use the widget even in this very limited preview state, and maybe provide me with some feedback. Next steps: Connect IQ API has been enhanced significantly since the original release (and the last update) of this preview version, so I have decided to invest more time into this little creation. I plan to upgrade the application to support all newer round watches, and use waypoints saved in a watch as a data source, which was not possible before. It will make the application actually usable - and if it gains some momentum, I will enhance it as originally envisioned. Check for updates on this page from time to time if you are interested.
