mEMA

mEMA brings ecological momentary assessment to the wrist. Participants get their surveys on the watch, feel a tap when one is due, and answer on the spot — without reaching for a phone. mEMA isn't a stand-alone app. It works with the mEMA app on the participant's phone, as part of a research study using mEMA. Surveys assigned to a participant arrive on the watch, and answers transfer back to the phone the next time the two are connected — so a survey can be completed even when the phone isn't nearby. It requires the mEMA phone app, set up with the individual and group codes provided by the study, Garmin Connect installed on the same phone, and Bluetooth turned on.
