Soloverse

Wear the cosmos. Soloverse is a watch face that puts the live Solar System on your wrist — every planet you see is exactly where it really is in space, right now. All eight planets, from Mercury to Neptune, orbit a central Sun. Each planet's position is computed in real time from JPL's Keplerian ephemeris elements. Mercury through Mars sit on rings scaled to their true AU distances; Jupiter through Neptune are placed on a logarithmic scale, so the gas giants stay visible without crushing the inner planets into a single dot. The gap between Mars and Jupiter is filled by the asteroid belt, whose density tracks the watch's battery — dense at full charge, thinning out as it drains. At Earth's position, the watch divides the sky with the horizon you would see standing where you are at the current moment. The horizon's angle shifts through the day, driven by today's sunrise and sunset times the watch is holding — so a glance tells you whether the sun is up or down where you stand. Above and below the horizon: by day, the sky is blue and the ground is black; by night, the sky is black and the ground is gray. The black region is intentionally swapped between day and night — ground by day, sky by night. The text elements sit at the four cardinal positions on the face, and not arbitrarily — each marks where Earth would be on one of the four seasonal turning points: - 12 o'clock — autumnal equinox · date - 3 o'clock — summer solstice · minutes - 6 o'clock — vernal equinox · battery percentage - 9 o'clock — winter solstice · hours Jupiter's cloud bands and Great Red Spot, along with the asteroid belt layout, are regenerated at random every time the watch wakes from sleep, so the face looks slightly different each time. Soloverse runs on both AMOLED / MicroLED full-color watches and on MIP devices with their fixed 64-color palette. Every planet, orbital ring and asteroid has been hand-tuned for each display family so the Solar System looks right on either kind of screen. The Positioning permission is used only on-device, and only to compute today's sunrise and sunset times for the horizon line. Your location is never transmitted, stored, or shared with any third party.
