RouteBeam — Maps to watch
· v1.1.2
About
RouteBeam lets you send any location from Google Maps directly to your Garmin Watch with a single tap — no typing coordinates, no fiddling with menus.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Google Maps on your phone
2. Find any place — a restaurant, a trailhead, a hotel, anywhere
3. Tap Share → "Send to Watch"
4. Your watch receives the waypoint instantly
WHEN IT ARRIVES ON YOUR WATCH
You get two options:
- Navigate Now — saves the waypoint and launches Garmin's native Navigate app automatically. Your watch builds the route and you're ready to go — phone stays in your pocket.
- Save Waypoint — saves the location to your device location list so you can navigate to it later.
REQUIREMENTS:
- RouteBeam phone app (Android) — available on Google Play
- Garmin Connect app running on your phone
- Bluetooth connection between phone and watch
PERFECT FOR:
- Hiking and trail navigation
- Finding your way around a new city
- Sending a meetup point to your wrist before heading out
- Saving interesting spots while exploring
RouteBeam is free. If you find it useful, you can support development at buymeacoffee.com/bigmy — thank you!
What's new
• Saved Locations list — browse everything you've saved right on your watch, no phone needed. Pick any entry to jump straight into Navigate.
• Redesigned save confirmation — after saving a waypoint, a native confirm dialog lets you jump directly to your saved locations with one tap.
• Multi-language support — RouteBeam now speaks Ukrainian, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, and French, in addition to English. The app automatically follows your watch's system language.
• Broader device support — added support for many more Garmin watches, including the Fenix 6 Pro, Fenix 7, Fenix 8, Epix 2 (and Pro), MARQ series, Descent, Enduro, D2 Aviation, and Forerunner 955/965/970.
• Sharper app icon on larger-screen devices.
• General reliability improvements to waypoint saving and navigation handoff.
