TubeWitch for TyreWiz & AIRMAX
· v1.24
About
TubeWitch for TyreWiz is a FREE Garmin Data Field that brings TyreWiz, AIRMAX and Zipp wheel tire pressure sensor data to the latest Garmin Edge devices and watches. It offers extensive customization, with flexible display and label options, as well as configurable audible/pop up/vibration pressure alerts designed to prevent nuisance duplicate alarms.
*****ALERT: SAVING SETTINGS WITH THE CONNECT IQ MOBILE APP IS AFFECTED BY A BUG IN THE GARMIN IQ SYSTEM. MAKE SURE THE TUBEWITCH DATA FIELD IS VISIBLE ON YOUR GARMIN DEVICE WHEN CHANGING SETTINGS. IF SETTINGS STILL DO NOT SAVE, TRY USING GARMIN EXPRESS. *****
Current Workarounds and Troubleshooting: TubeWitch.com
Required: Use the Garmin Connect IQ mobile app or Garmin Express to enter your sensor IDs into the TubeWitch settings. See screenshot and tips below.
Tips:
● First, use the SRAM or Schwalbe mobile app to assign the F/R position and pressure target for each sensor.
● Install TubeWitch then reboot your Garmin device and restart the Garmin Connect IQ mobile app.
● On a Garmin device, add the TubeWitch Data Field to a data screen and LEAVE VISIBLE.
● In the Connect IQ mobile app, go to the TubeWitch settings and enter the numeric part (#####) of your sensor IDs. Find ID's printed on the sensors or in the SRAM or Schwalbe mobile app.
● Rotate your wheels to wake up the sensors.
● During setup, you may see the message “Sensor uses an open connection.” This is normal and means the sensors do not send data using encryption.
● If data is not displayed after setup, reboot to trigger the messages again; they must be acknowledged before data can be received.
● To avoid conflicts, uninstall any other TyreWiz Data Fields, then reboot your Garmin.
● **** When changing settings with the Connect IQ app, TubeWitch MUST BE VISIBLE on your Garmin.
● **** Try using Garmin Express if the Connect IQ mobile app fails to save settings. *****
FAQs:
● Is it accurate? Yes, it matches the mfs' mobile apps
● Will it work with TyreWiz 2.0, TyreWiz Moto or Zipp wheel sensors? Yes
● Why is it showing a "?" or "X" next to the pressure reading? "?" indicates you are not getting data from the sensor and it's trying to reconnect. "X" indicates TubeWitch timed out for that sensor and stopped searching to save battery (Default 15 min timeout).
● Will it work for more than two sensors? Yes. Save up to five named bikes or wheel sets. Then either manually select the active sensor set in settings, choose Auto to scan each configured sensor set for 10s, or use the Touch to Switch feature. Only one sensor set can be connected and displayed at a time.
● Will it record tire pressure data to the Garmin activity? Yes
● Does the TubeWitch Data Field offer features that the SRAM Data Field doesn't have? Yes, it adds audible/pop up alarms, labels, colors, stale data indicators, and more.
