This is a simple data field that measures your stroke efficiency, which is a value based on how many heartbeats it takes to cover a certain distance. It represents the extent to which and how quickly it can function for a given amount of energy, ie how efficiently it runs. Because it is based on heart rate, and incorporates your heart rate at rest, it is specific to you. You can use it, for example, by learning what type of average values it tends to run and then following the improvements over time.

The measurement obviously requires you to use an HRM. In addition to showing a momentary value for recent efficiency (an average in the last 30 seconds), the data field also records this and averages for each spin and the entire session in the FIT file. This information is displayed in Garmin Connect after loading the activity.
Higher values means that you are doing better. The "normal" running efficiency values can be maintained between 135 and 260 (cm / beat). The first few seconds of running, the application may have very high values (if its pulsations are very low), but will normalize in a few seconds. If you stop for 30 seconds, the value will drop to zero, since for your pulsations, nothing is progressing !! ;)

It is measured in centimeters traveled divided by the average number of reserve beats per minute. Cm / lrpm
The value shown indicates the centimeters that travels through each reserve heartbeat * (* total heartbeats less rest beats)
Each runner has his own ideal pace in which he advances the maximum, spending the minimum of energy (this is called efficiency). This information will help you to decide if it is preferable to accelerate a little, even raising the pulsations somewhat or, it is better to slow down and lower the pulsations.
