STIFA Live
· v1.2.0
About
STIFA Live shows your STIFA value in real time during any activity.
STIFA = total ascent (metres) / distance (kilometres) — how many metres you
climb per kilometre. A value of 44.53 means 44.53 m of climbing per km. The
higher the number, the hillier your route.
• Add it as a data field on any activity data screen (run, hike, trail, bike…).
• See two numbers at once on larger layouts: AVG (the average for the whole
activity) and NOW (a live rolling reading of how steep it is right now).
• Choose what the value covers: whole activity, current lap, or a rolling
window by time (e.g. last 2 min) or by distance (e.g. last 1 km).
• Colour-coded by steepness (green → orange → red) with per-sport profiles
(running, hiking, cycling, ski touring) or an Automatic profile that follows
your activity. Set your own colour thresholds if you like.
• A trend arrow shows whether STIFA is rising or falling, with adjustable
sensitivity and optional smoothing so the number stays calm on rollers.
• Optional second line for the session max or average STIFA.
• Updates about once per second as you climb.
• Uses only your watch's own ascent and distance — no GPS tracking, no network,
no accounts. Works fully offline.
• No permissions required. Collects and transmits nothing.
A companion to the STIFA web app (stifa.no), but completely standalone.
What's new
The bottom graph now tracks the rolling-window STIFA (the last 2 min, or your
chosen window) instead of the flattening average, with a peak marker, a crisp
top contour and an optional dashed target line to chase. New second-line
metrics: VAM (vertical ascent metres/hour) and average gradient (%). Choose
metric (m/km) or imperial (ft/mi) units, a colour-blind-friendly palette, and
fine-tune all five colour thresholds.
