Terminal Rewrite keeps it simple most of the time: just the time, big and clean, no clutter. A few seconds before every minute changes, a cursor quietly appears and blinks next to it — your cue something's about to happen. Then, right on the tick, the cursor sweeps left across the whole time, wiping it out one character at a time, and sweeps back right, typing the new time back in behind it. Unhurried on purpose: the whole rewrite takes about ten seconds, so you can actually watch it happen instead of catching a flicker.
