PCH Alert Lite
· vv0.2.7
About
For Edge 130 and Edge 130 Plus. A free data field with a large two-value display, Power, Cadence, and Heart Rate alerts, and Power Scaling.
PCH Alert Lite is a lightweight Connect IQ data field designed for the small monochrome screens of Garmin Edge 130 and Edge 130 Plus.
It combines audible Power, Cadence, and Heart Rate alerts to support pacing when you cannot safely keep looking at the screen, such as during group rides.
Five display modes are available: P/LAP, P/CAD, P/HR, HR/CAD, and CAD/HR. Number fonts adjust automatically to the field size, and the background can be set to White or Black.
Power Scaling adjusts Power from -10.0% to +10.0% in 0.5% steps. Scaled Power is used for 3-second average Power, Lap Average Power, P3/P4 alerts, and Cadence Power Gate evaluation.
When “Record Scaled Power to FIT” is ON, scaled Power, original Power, and the scaling percentage are stored in the FIT file as app-specific additional data for post-ride analysis. This does not directly overwrite Garmin native Power.
To create a FIT file that uses scaled Power as standard Power, the free compatible Analyzer is required.

[Trial and Purchase]
This app is free. There is no trial period or in-app purchase.
The compatible Analyzer required to create a FIT file that uses scaled Power as standard Power is also available free of charge.

[Data Handling]
When “Record Scaled Power to FIT” is ON, scaled Power, original Power, and the scaling percentage are saved in the activity FIT file as app-specific additional data.
The app does not directly overwrite the standard Power normally recorded by Garmin. Power graphs and Average Power in Garmin Connect are not automatically changed to scaled values.
When rebuilding with the free Analyzer, the original FIT file remains unchanged and a separate FIT file containing scaled Power is created.
[Important Notes]
• This app is a data field and cannot be launched as a standalone app.
• A power meter is required for Power display, Power alerts, and Power Scaling.
• Cadence and Heart Rate display and evaluation require compatible sensors or measurement data.
• Power Scaling and “Record Scaled Power to FIT” are fixed when the activity starts. Changes made during recording apply from the next activity.
• Notification-tone availability and audibility may vary depending on Edge software and system sound settings.
• Item names in the Connect IQ settings screen are displayed in English.
• Displays and alerts are reference information intended to assist your ride. Always prioritize road conditions, traffic laws, and your own safety judgment.
