MapDashboard
· v1.40.1
About
This is a Datafield for usage on the map screen while navigating, it doesn't show the map itself. Garmin allows by default only two data fields on the map screen. If you want more data you can use this datafield as a mini dashboard below your map in the provided map screen.
The dashboard contains 6 fields which are configurable via Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile. The three bars change colour to indicate in which HR-zone you are.
To use this datafield go to Settings - Activity profiles - [your profile] - Data screens - Map - Layout and Datafields - Choose "1 " - Choose Connect IQ from the list of data fields - choose MapDashboard.
You may have to reboot your Edge before the datafield shows.
The field currently supports English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Italian, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Japanese, Polish and Dutch.

To configure the fields do the following with Garmin Connect Mobile on Android:
Open the Garmin Connect Mobile App. (The Edge should be on and connected to the phone.)
Tip the icon with three bars in the upper left corner. Choose Garmin devices and choose your device.Select Manage Activities and Data fields then choose Data fields.
Select the field you want to change and choose settings. You can now change the datafields for the rows.
After applying the changes choose OK, synchronize the Edge and reboot it.
P.S. This app requires access to: "Run in the background when it is not active (potentially affecting battery life)" - This is because the app starts a background process to retrieve the current temperature (every 5 minutes), this is the current way to read the temperature from the sensor.
The app needs the position to calculate sunrise and sunset.
