About

Cold Plunge – Simple Cold Water Immersion Tracker Take the guesswork out of your cold plunge. This app turns your watch into a dedicated cold plunge timer that tracks your time in the water, your heart rate, and the water temperature – all saved as an activity you can review later in Garmin Connect. HOW IT WORKS 1. Set your water temperature (32–65°F, default 50°F) using the UP and DOWN buttons. 2. Set your target duration (default 3 minutes, adjustable in 30-second steps). 3. Press START and a 10-second countdown begins so you can get in the water. The watch vibrates and beeps during the final 3 seconds and again when your session starts. 4. During your plunge, everything you need is on one screen: live heart rate at the top, your timer front and center, and water temperature at the bottom. FEATURES • Live heart rate displayed throughout your session • Countdown timer to your target time – if you stay in longer, the timer automatically switches to overtime mode and keeps counting so you always know your total time • Vibration and tone alerts during the pre-start countdown, at the start, and when you hit your target time – no need to look at the watch with cold, wet hands • Pause protection: pressing START during a plunge brings up a menu to Resume, Save, or Discard, so you can't end a session by accident. Choose Resume and your timer picks up right where it left off • Session summary after you finish: total time, average heart rate, and water temperature at a glance • Each activity is saved with a descriptive name that includes your settings (for example, "Cold Plunge - 50F for 3 min") so your history is easy to browse • Water temperature and target duration are written into the FIT file as custom fields WHY TRACK YOUR PLUNGES? Whether you're building cold tolerance, using cold water for recovery, or just enjoy the challenge, consistent tracking helps you see progress over time – longer sessions, colder water, and how your heart rate responds. Simple to use, glanceable in the water, and safe from accidental button presses. Get in, breathe, and let the watch handle the rest. Note: Water temperature is entered by you before each session (the watch does not measure water temperature). Always cold plunge safely and consult a physician before beginning cold exposure practice.
