About
Trials turns your watch into a scorecard for practice sessions. No cards to fill in and nothing to remember: ride the section, dial in what it cost you, move on. Lowest score wins.
Pick a mode when you start.
SECTIONS
After each section, set your score with UP and DOWN: 0 for a clean, 1, 2 or 3 for dabs, 5 for a failure. The dial wraps, so a five is one press down from a clean. Press LAP to bank it and move to the next section. A clean is a single press of LAP.
The screen shows your running total, cleans and clean rate, and every action has its own feel: a double buzz for a clean, a firm pulse for dropped points, a long low buzz for an undo. Swipe right to go back a section and fix a mistake.
FREE PRACTICE
No scoring and nothing to press. A big timer and your heart rate, with distance and calories underneath. The watch simply records, the way it would for a run.
Either way the session is saved as a normal activity with elapsed time, heart rate, GPS track, distance and calories, and syncs to Garmin Connect, so you can look back and see whether your riding is improving.

What's new
Both screens redesigned in the style of Garmin's native activity pages: light background, labelled fields and divider lines.
- Heart rate zone gauge curving around the top of the screen, using your own HR zones, with a marker that moves as you work
- Sections: big colour coded score dial, POINTS and CLEAN fields, timer along the bottom
- Free Practice: big timer, DISTANCE and CALORIES fields, time of day along the bottom
- Button hints (+, -, section flag) restyled for the light screen
