About

Tactical digital watch face — bold 7-segment time, a configurable progress ring, your colours.

What's new

Sutac is a tactical digital watch face inspired by rugged field instruments — clean, high-contrast, built for the outdoors and the mission. It pairs a heavy 7-segment time readout with two configurable data fields above it, a label bar for three auto-rotating data slots, and a segmented progress ring around the edge. The colour scheme is yours to set. Tactical design Sutac's signature element is a 60-segment ring around the dial. Starting at 12 o'clock and filling clockwise in your accent colour, the active segments show the value of whatever you bind the ring to; the remaining segments sit behind them as a faint "ghost" track, or disappear entirely if you switch the ghost off. The time itself is a bold 7-segment readout built from beveled segment bars — not a system font. Every element is flat and high-contrast, so the face reads instantly in bright sun or low light. The geometry is fixed; the palette is not. Your colours, your dial Sutac ships with a light (inverted) dial as the default out-of-box look. Pick from 10 accent colours — Orange, Blue, Green, Red, White, Yellow, Cyan, Magenta, Purple, and Pink — to recolour the time display, the progress ring, and the highlights. The Invert option switches between a dark dial and a light dial, so the same face works as a bold dark-mode instrument or a clean bright-background watch. Ghost colour (Off, Dark, Medium, or Light) and ghost style (Filled or Outlined) tune how the inactive "ghost" elements appear — both the 7-segment "off" segments and the ring's inactive track — from hidden to a subtle outline. Configurable data Sutac puts your metrics where you want them: - A 60-segment progress ring you can bind to any of 11 sources — seconds, minutes, battery, solar, steps goal, floors goal, active-minutes goal, Body Battery, stress, SpO2, or heart rate. - Three data slots shown one at a time in the lower face, with a label bar marking which of the three is live. The active slot auto-rotates every minute. Choose each slot from 19 fields: Body Battery, stress, heart rate, steps, calories, distance, floors climbed, intensity minutes, SpO2, altitude, barometric pressure, temperature, battery, solar, sunrise, sunset, VO2 Max (Run), VO2 Max (Bike), notifications. - Two upper data fields (upper-left and upper-right) for at-a-glance metrics, drawn from a 13-field subset of the slot pool. Six slot-only fields are not offered in the upper fields — Steps, Calories, Altitude, Barometric Pressure, Sunrise, and Sunset. - Unit and format controls: Celsius/Fahrenheit, kilometers/miles, 24-hour/12-hour time. Notifications Whenever you have unread phone notifications, a bell icon appears in your accent colour in the upper panel — it's always on, nothing to configure. Separately, you can set any data slot or upper field to "Notifications" to show the unread count as a number on the face. Always-on display Sutac includes a dedicated always-on render that keeps the time visible at a glance while respecting the low-power display budget. The always-on face is a minimal, burn-in-safe clock: a black background, twelve sparse hour ticks at the dial edge, and the dimmed 7-segment time — and nothing else (no progress ring, data fields, slot value, or notification bell). Wide device support Sutac runs on 43 round Garmin devices spanning MIP and AMOLED displays — Fenix 7 series, Fenix 8 series, Forerunner 255/265/570/965/970, epix Gen 2 and epix Pro, Venu 3/4, Vivoactive 5/6, Instinct 3 AMOLED, MARQ Gen 2, D2 Air X10, D2 Mach 1/2, and Enduro 3. The layout adapts to each device's size so the face is composed correctly on every supported model. On AMOLED devices the dial is fixed to the dark scheme to protect against burn-in.
