About

Watts and beats turns raw power and heart rate data into actionable technique adjustments while you ride. *Note: Requires a paired Power Meter and Heart Rate Monitor.* Rather than relying on post-ride software to see where your performance dropped, CycloMetrics establishes a baseline every 30 minutes and tracks your real-time trends against it. ## What it monitors: Efficiency Factor (EF): Tracks your aerobic fuel economy. A dropping trend warns you of aerobic decoupling, letting you know it’s time to hydrate or back off the pace. Variability Index (VI): Measures your pacing discipline over a 3-minute rolling window. It alerts you if you are surging too hard on hills or riding erratically. Torque (TQ): Keeps tabs on your mechanical efficiency. It subtly alerts you if you are grinding a gear too hard (causing premature muscle fatigue) or spinning fluidly. # Settings Demo: Enable demo mode and then start activity to see demo of 6 minutes. First 3 minutes is base, then some alerts are showing. Debug: When enabled, on datascreen with one field it will display a lot of data. Show pause screen: When enabled, on pause show some metrics. Reset: Set default values. ## Alerts Safe zone distance: 5000 meter Safe zone time: 900 seconds Alerts (sound) will be enabled when 5000 meter or 900 seconds is reach. Backlight on: Enable backlight on alert. Change background: Set backgrount to black/white on alert. On lock: When new datset (EF/VI/TQ) is locked for comparison. EF / VI / TQ warning settings: EF warning: At start of Efficiency Factor (EF) alert 'Attention.TONE_LOUD_BEEP' is played. Escalation threshold: 300 seconds. After 5 minutes another warning 'Attention.TONE_CANARY' to alert. And then every minute, until no EF alert. Same can be enabled for VI and TQ. ## Lock data Lock interval seconds: 1800 seconds. Interval for locking actual EF/VI/TQ data. Smoothing window: In seconds. Initial EF at: Set the initial EF value in seconds. Initial EF on 1st lap: Set initial EF when lap button pressed. Lock on auto lap: Set new lock values when lap button pressed. ## Colors Warnings have a Red, Orange or Yellow background. Choose to use black or white text on them. # Auto start Autostart after Safe Zone
