Enjoy every ride more by getting service reminders based upon the amount you ride. Trek’s Bike Garage will let you know when there’s a service reminder available, and enable you to view the details on your phone. To view the details, tap the button on your Bike Garage by swiping down to access the widget carousel and then across until you get to the Bike Garage. To Setup Visit trekbikes.com/setup and follow the instructions to: 1. Create your trekbikes.com account. 2. Link your trekbikes.com account with your Garmin Connect account. 3. Add bike(s) to your bike garage. 4. Select your preferred retailer To Use: Choose the bike you’re riding from the data field active in your activity profile of the Bontrager Garmin Edge 1030 you’re using prior to saving your ride. Note: you must be sure the bike is selected for the activity profile selected. - To change bikes in the data field tap anywhere within it to rotate through the list of bikes added to your trekbikes.com Bike Garage. Can I use the Bike Garage with other size data fields and layouts? Yes, select or add a data field from any layout, and then choose the Trek Bike Chooser from the Connect IQ options in the data field menu. 2. My Bike Garage isn’t showing any bikes in it. Check to see that your Garmin Connect account is linked to your Trekbikes.com. 3. During setup, I was never asked for my Garmin Connect account info during the authentication process. If you just set up your Garmin Connect account your PC, Tablet or Phone browser was likely still active and thus didn’t require you to re-enter your account details. 4. What browsers work best? Chrome, and Explorer 5. I’m not getting the pop-up windows to authenticate. Turn off block up poppers according to your browsers process. 6. My Bike Garage datafield isn’t showing my bike(s). Please select refresh from the menu at the bottom of the Bike Garage. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please login to your Bike Garage on Trekbikes.com and confirm there is a bike there. If not, add your bike and re-fresh the system. 7. My Bike Garage widget displays the words “connect to phone”. Yes, this occurs when you’ve not established a connection between your Bontrager Garmin Edge 1030 and your phone. Please pair your phone according to the Garmin process using GCM (Garmin Connect Mobile) 8. My Bike Garage datafield shows linking accounts. Yes, this occurs while Trekbikes.com and Garmin servers authenticate. It will typically take 5 minutes or less for the accounts to be connected. 9. I selected my preferred retailer and what next? Once you’ve selected preferred retailer, it’s time to turn on your Bontrager Garmin Edge 1030, choose your bike and go for a ride. 10. Even though I already had my bike in the Bike Garage, after linking my accounts it asked me to add my bike to the garage. Please ignore this request if your bike is available in your Bike Garage on Trekbikes.com and the Bike Chooser on your Bontrager Garmin Edge 1030.
