About

Do you like to have alternative styles, different from everything else? Then is maybe "Yet Another Running Field - analogous" (YARFa) for you. Note that this is a new alternative style. I will test it on my own runs and the style needs some time to get improved. Don't leave a bad review if you find something strange or odd. Just give me feedback via the "contact developer" button and I will consider about your suggestions. Nevertheless, the datafield is getting better and better. The next version will improve it even better: see the box news below for new or improved features. The concept behind this datafield is a speed pointer which shows the seconds of the pace. The minutes of that pace is shown with a digital character on top of the datafield. Furthermore a small triangle which circles around the dial shows the seconds of the average pace. The minutes of that average pace is omitted (I am currently not sure whether this is necessary). Although you will find a setting to adjust the smoothing of the speed pointer the smoothing is currently fixed to 8 seconds. I will experiment either with a second pointer in the future which is smoothed to your settings or will apply that setting to the speed pointer. The dial shows also how long which HR zone was entered. A further design concept are 4 small circles which shows different information: - heart rate (incl. zones) - current heart rate as digits and as indicator, zone the current heart rate is in and average heart rate as little triangle - candence (incl. zones) - current cadence as digits and as indicator, zone, the current cadence is in and average cadence as little triangle - orientation circle - shows current running direction, direction to start, a distance ring (how far you are away from start) and the battery status in blue - analog clock, elapsed time and the training effect as digits There is a fifth circle in the middle which shows the 60 seconds pace and the lap pace. You can quickly see on the 60 seconds pointer and the large 8 seconds pointer whether you will get slower or faster. In digital characters YARFa shows the distance and the calories burned. You can adjust the cirlces' locations and do some coloring of certain design elements. Furthermore you can select whether the red zone is limited to enlarge the other zones. This increases accuracy and better readability of the other zones. This features requires that the runner doesn't do a fast run since the red zone is limited. Note that the design of this datafield is far from beeing final.

What's new

v0.0.2: - Triangle on heart rate on cadence circles enlarged and fixed to black color - if black color is fine, the option to set this color will be removed. The option has currently no effect. - The lap pointer is now a Triangle - The kC is removed from the clock circle and moved to the right free space - The Training effect is introduced on the clock circle v0.0.3: Bugs removed: Average pace was buggy, rraining effect was not shown Imporvements: Distance is shown with more accuracy (10 m), removal of the color setting of the little average heart rate and cadence arrows, lap pace arrow is thicker, active color of current heart rate zone is darkened to distinguish the other zone colors even better, the digital minutes of the current pace is enlarged v0.0.4: - The little arrow which indicates the average heart rate was too hard to see. The implementation was changed to following: if the heart rate zone of the average value differs to the current heart rate zone, the average heart rate zone indicator is shown in its own color. If the heart rate zone of the average value is equal to the current zone, the arrow is depicted in white. This is the best solution in my opinion. - The black average cadence indicator was moved to the foreground for better readability v0.0.5: - To get a better resolution for heart rate zones, the user is able to reduce the red zone v0.0.6: - Heart rate's digital value: It was not necessary to show three digits in even size. Instead a leading 1 of the heart rate can be shown smaller. The other two digits are now enlarged for better readability - Improvements for the readability of the distance ring in the orientation circle For an upcoming version: - If the total distance is above 10 km (or 10 miles) each 10 km are shown via one dot above and below the distance. By doing this, the datafield's distance accuracy don't need to be limit. - The seconds of the elapsed time are shown under the training effect - The training effect is shown in green, yellow and red according garmin's recommendation v0.0.7: implemented a progress bar which shows distance between x.x0 and x.x9 km/miles. Implemented in the dial how long which HR zone was entered.
