Datarun plus
· v3.4d
About
The datafield is free now. However, I am having trouble with removing the code with the license restrictions from the datafield source code. You can therefore find your license key here: https://www.vermail.nl/datarun_code/ and use the spreadsheet with license keys. I don't develop this datafield anymore and I will not add any watches.
See https://vermail.nl/datarun-plus/ for all the options! Vivoactive 3 and FR645(m) users: from version 2.5 onwards an even larger custom font is used! There is also a premium version of this datafield, with more metrics and much more flexibility on where to place metrics: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/360a26c4-e2bb-45b7-8f97-2694ccf74eef
All the 7 fields can be configured! The datafield can display the required pace to meet a certain finish time, your estimated finish time and it can also display how many minutes and seconds you will be earlier or later than your finish time (with coloring to make it easier). I used those metrics with a half marathon recently; which delivered me a new PR, because I knew all the time exactly what pace was needed.
It is possible to display Stryd power, if you have a FR735xt, FR935 or Fenix 5/5s/5x. They can connect as a power meter ànd as a footpod, so you can have running power ànd accurate pace. You need to have the Stryd datafield on a different screen live as well if you want the power data to be shown on Garmin Connect and the Stryd website. Training effect is also available for these watches.
The datafield is meant to be placed in a single view (so filling up the whole watchface). It is showing the main metrics for running.
One can change the contents of the fields through Garmin Express (Garmin Connect app should also work, but doesn't always work!).
Further options that are available:
- in the default view a white background is displayed, but you can change it to black, regardless of device settings (not for 645M)
- you can force backlight to be on, regardless of device settings (nice for the dark winter evenings!)
- in the default view the clock is displayed, but you can change it to the number of laps
- bigger pace-field, by removing the heartrate-field. Heartrate can still be displayed in other fields
- you can choose whether you want current pace or the average of the last 5 seconds
- estimated finish time (ETA) and deviation in minutes/seconds from it, based on average speed or last lap. Also required pace to meet a certain finish time
This field is intented with all it's options to be used for racing, with 3 fields for meeting the right finish time, and training on the road, trailruns and track training.
There are 3 copies of this datafield in the Garmin app store. These copies will make it possible to have several differents sets of settings for different running profiles for training on the road, trailruns, track training etc. They all use the same on license key.
