Freedive Trainer
· v0.1.0-RC.1
About
Freedive Trainer turns your Garmin watch into a full apnea training coach — no phone, no stopwatch, no counting in your head.
Build CO2, O2, Mixed, and Custom tables on freedive.one (or right on the watch) and run them as static, dry breath-hold training. Every
session starts with a breathe-up, not a cold hold — the watch tells you when to breathe, when to go, and when the hold ends, with
vibration and sound cues you can hear with your eyes closed.
FEATURES
- CO2 tables — shrinking rest between holds, the classic breath-hold builder
- O2 tables — growing holds with breathe-up and a GO cue
- Mixed tables — chain CO2/O2 blocks with rest gaps
- Custom tables — freeform round-by-round tables built on freedive.one
- Breathe-first flow — every hold is preceded by its own breathe-up, so you never start cold
- Vibration + tone cues for hold start, breathe start, 10-second warnings, target reached, and an unmissable breatheNow cue
- Heart rate sampled through every hold and rest, min/max per round
- SpO2 tracking where your watch supports it
- freedive.one sync — build tables on the site, pull them to your watch with a pairing code; completed sessions push back up to your
Freedive Journal automatically
- Session history and results on the watch — total hold, longest hold, round-by-round HR
- Built for the whole Fenix/Descent family, with a dedicated layout for the Descent G2's round AMOLED and the Descent G1's
memory-in-pixel display
This app is intended for dry, on-land training only — not for use in the pool, open water, or while diving. Freedive Trainer is a training aid, not a safety device. Never train breath-holds alone — always train with an experienced buddy watching you.
